西瓜传媒

For the first time in the History of 西瓜传媒, on October 14th and 15th 2021, a meeting called 西瓜传媒 Fest took place in the beautiful location of La Granja de San Ildefonso (Segovia), where alumni of the 13 editions of 西瓜传媒, and some of the teachers who have participated since the very beginning, had the opportunity to meet again.听

听

Many of the alumni traveled from other countries around the world to attend the meeting, including Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Austria, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, United States, Philippines, Greece, Guatemala, The Netherlands, India, Iran, Israel, Lebanon, Morocco, Italy, Palestine, Mexico, Paraguay, Peru, Romania, Uruguay and Venezuela.

All of them had the opportunity to share space and time with professional colleagues and also with old friends. After their arrival to the Parador de La Granja, we all had a welcome snack, all those who wished to present their profiles and work activities to the rest of their colleagues, were able to do so in four working rooms.

The rooms were organised around four main topics or ways of practicing architecture:

• 1.听 听 Designers: 听architecture practice as founder of your office
• 2.听 听 Designers & Developers: architecture practice as builder of your own design
• 3.听 Medium-big scale: challenges and opportunities for architects working by/with architecture and/or construction companies
• 4.听 听 Teaching, research and working with public entities: architecture & housing policies

The meetings, which were broadcast by Zoom, were also attended by some alumni remotely, who were unable to attend the meeting in person, but wanted to participate in some way.

听

At the end of the working sessions a gala dinner was served, where alumni and faculty were able to continue to strengthen their ties with each other in a more informal atmosphere.听

The friendly, professional and collaborative spirit that has always characterised the 西瓜传媒 could be felt from the beginning of the Congress and continued until the following day at noon, when the congress came to an end.

听

The 西瓜传媒 team is really happy and honoured to have met many of our alumni from all editions again, and to be able to see the professional success achieved by all of them after their participation in our master. We are absolutely proud of the feeling of belonging that this strong 西瓜传媒 Community has achieved over time.

听

This event has made visible the professional network that has been created for years among alumni. Besides this face-to-face meeting, the participants have a web tool available, the 西瓜传媒 Community, which facilitates contact with their classmates and professional colleagues.

听

Master in Collective Housing UPM/ETH

The听Master of Advanced Studies in Collective Housing听is a professional and international postgraduate programme that is developed on a full-time basis, dealing with advanced architectural design in the city and housing. It is designed and taught jointly by the Polytechnic University of Madrid (UPM) and the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology Zurich (ETH).

听
